Companies compared on the same measures

1210 companies with at least five years of accounts filed with the SEC, measured the way each company page measures them: what they earn on the capital they employ, how much of their profit turns into cash, what they owe, and whether their accounts improved. Ask the table a question, sort by any column, open any company.

Return on invested capital of 15% or more in each of the last five years, with revenue higher than five years ago.

How each column is measured
ROIC
Operating profit after tax, divided by the capital invested in the business, in the latest fiscal year. The small line is its ten-year shape.
Growth, 5 years
Compound annual growth of revenue over the last five fiscal years.
FCF margin
Free cash flow as a share of revenue: what is left in cash after running and maintaining the business.
Cash conversion
Free cash flow divided by net income: how much of the reported profit arrived as cash. Above 1× means more cash than profit.
Net debt / EBITDA
Years of EBITDA needed to repay the debt net of cash. “Net cash” means the cash exceeds the debt.
Piotroski
How many of Piotroski's nine accounting tests the latest year passes, each against the year before: profitability, cash generation, less debt, more liquidity, no dilution, better margins and turnover.
Questions
Red flags between the last two years (receivables or inventory growing faster than sales, profit without cash, and the like), plus Z when the Altman score is in the distress zone and M when the Beneish score is above its threshold. Each is a question to ask, not a verdict.
What this is not. A table of accounts measured the same way, from what each company filed with the SEC. It uses no share prices, so it says nothing about whether any company is cheap or expensive, and nothing here is a recommendation. A question asked of the accounts leaves a list; what to do with the list stays with you.
